Some of our larger clients have asked us to teach our proven techniques to their employees who facilitate retreats. We lead a highly-interactive advanced facilitation and retreat design institute in which internal facilitators learn how to:
Help determine if a retreat is the best tool to help an organization at a given time
Think about the logistics of retreats (they affect the outcome more than you might realize)
Design a retreat that will deliver the promised results
Form a partnership with the convener and still work for the good of the whole organization
Gather the needed data and present it in meaningful ways to retreat participants
Set the tone at the retreat with appropriate welcome and introduction activities
Choose the right retreat exercise at the right time
Use creative thinking techniques to help participants generate novel solutions to old problems
Facilitate skillfully, particularly when things don't go as planned
Help participants makes decisions they will abide by and create an action plan that they agree to implement
Create a memorable close for a retreat that encourages individual and group commitment to the directions the group has charted
We can accommodate between twelve and twenty-five participants per session.
We customize the Retreat Leadership Institute to fit your organization's situation and culture so the examples and cases feel very real to the participants.
As an optional enhancement, we can co-facilitate retreats with participants to give them more in-depth experience and coaching in retreat design and facilitation.
